Legionella risk assessment ?

Is this really necessary, as I don't see this in any services provided by letting agents.

I understand in industry it's vital, perhaps this relates only to HMO's but i am unsure.

I appreciate your thoughts as always.

No,it's not necessary.There was some nonsense in the past where agents were charging fees to run the taps for a bit.

I guess it depends on the property , but I assume if you do it once for a new property then its fine.

It seems tenants are looked after better  than when you own a house.

It depends if your tenants get Legionella or not! Usually not, though.
I had it done on all of my properties when we first acquired them, because one of the things that should be tested for is if the property is likely to have warm water sitting anywhere - which most properties don't do unless people stop living there.

Everything seemed low risk, so I've not done it since.
