Hi All,

As above. Can they do this as a route en part of the registration process. This has never been required before. I thought local authorities were skint (They will probably recruit to administer this). But apparently not to skint to go after landlords.

PS

It is a  "Scottish national socialist Scottish peoples party" run local authority

Thanks in advance

Riptide

If you're registering with a body for something and seeing them is part of the registration process then I'd imagine they can ask for them.

I presume if you don't supply them then you don't get registration.

Have you got everything necessary?

Hippogriff

The obvious question would be - why is it even a problem if you have everything you're supposed to have?

"route en part" sounds very French... are you sure you're in Écosse?

CraigCWI

Thanks for responding,

From a e mail "Your application for landlord registration has been approved. Your details are now included on the public register". Therefore I am registered. I have all the correct and up to date documentation. But I see this as intrusive and an example of local authority over reach.

Regards
Bealin!

Hi Hipoo.

I find being accused of being French offensive. Not only is it offensive but it is now a crime in these parts. Expect a knock on the door from plod. They have you as number 42375 on there to do list. Just 42374 after J K Rowling

I now identify as French.Does this mean I can no longer visit your beautiful country?

Hippogriff will be very offended and traumatised by this disrespect.

CraigCWI

Apologies to Hippogriff. I was very upset at the time.

To answer my question. Yes they can. And now saying it is a random check. They should have said so at the start. I thaught they wanted all docs all the time... This will happen in the future though.

A tad over-dramatic given Hippogriff's bon mot was just:

Since independence I see that McPlod now has much many resources than their counterparts in these parts. My plan would be (as it always has been) to escape their Deep Fried clutches by pointing out the imaginary line that supposedly joins us (but really separates us, all) - and the fact there is no extradition.

I never thought I'd be mentioned in the same train of thought along with J. K. Rowling. I mean, not in 2024 at least. Onwards and upwards.
