Is there a way I can find out if my non paying tenant is an illegal in the country? I am taking him to court via a solicitor as I would rather the solicitor takes responsibility and I am less likely to loose if the solicitor does it. I cannot afford to let him stay there for free any longer. I do not wish to let him get away with it but I also dont want to throw good money after bad. Does he have more rights/indemnity for being foreign or illegal? You read allsorts in the papers about them having the free help the rest of us do not.
His signature is in cantonese I think. He was already in the property when I got it. I want him out out out

Actually, thinking about it, my girlfriend was telling me about dating an illegal. He was another dreg of society who should have been sent home. She decided to persue this goal and get him deported. (Heaven help me if I upset her )  She was told that unless she could obtain his passport number, which he must have had to enter the country, they could do nothing. They were not going to persue him in any way even though she could give names and addresses. Talk about 'going to the dogs'

Licensed? What sort of license do I need? What do you mean brokerage? What is a real estate test? What country are you in? This isnt applicable to the UK is it?

I have another career. Surely I am not doing so badly just yet that I should give up.
I just do this for fun (because I like getting wallet raped by losers)
