HI well before anyone moans this was a accident as we are new land ladies and we are also human and make mistakes soooooooooooooo anyways we gave our tenants a AST agreement not realising that it was for a furnished property and it should have been unfurnished can anyone tell me how we stand on this being a legal document I guess we made a oral agreement at the same time. Thanks for reading and any help in this matter

I don't really understand the question.  Are you thinking all of a sudden you might need to provide furniture?  Surely the T's know what type of property they were renting when they viewed?  Where did you get these agreements from?

HI sorry the question is Mr RIptide is - IF THE PROPERTY ISNT FURNISHED AND I GAVE THEM A T AGREEMENT FOR A FURNISHED PROPERTY[  WHICH I JUST BROUGHT FROM W H SMITH  is it legal as someone has mentioned it isn't legally binding?? There have been a few other issues as it is a joint tenancy and one is leaving ------------------- but as we are so nice the tenant will pay her part of the rent till the tenancy runs out which is nice and yes I'm sure your thinking you heard that before but this tenant will !! she has respect and is a very nice person.    Thanks for the answer and I guess for noticing I changed the text etc it isn't difficult eh lol !!!

Basically your sound, and most of us issuing Unfurnished ones shouldn't as strictly it doesn't cover carpets.

Either way they have under law the protection of an AST, as do you. Sorry for all the messing around.. It's fine, honest!
