Hi Everyone,
Bit of legal advice please.
I have a leasehold flat that has a water leak at the main stop cock in the building, not in the flat, the freeholder is bloody useless and has attempted a couple of bodges,, can I legally get the work done without informing him I'm going to do it ?

Do you pay monthly service charges to him or an agent? I don't think you would be charged with any offence,but be prepared to pick up the tab if he refuses to pay.
