I have a single garage In a block That I wish to rent out...

And as a newbie I have a few questions....

I take it I need to do a tenancy agreement on it ? (If so whare do I get one)

and also do you take a deposit on it if so does it have to be secured in the same way as renting a flat/house?

Do I take a up front deposit?

There is no electrics in this garage so no paperwork needed for that.

Is there anything else I should or could be doing?

Thanks

Please be careful of advice received from websites (including my own) and always do your own research.
Obviously I cannot understand your full situation from a small blog....

Hi Enfieldone
You are being a teensy bit lazy... ???
Just type Garage Rental Agreement into Google and you can download an agreement for free.

You don't need to protect the Deposit as the Tenancy Deposit Scheme is for an AST
You cuold create an AST but really why bother, it will also have implications on when you can chuck stuff out if they don't pay.

Best of luck
