Bit of a strange one. A neighbour of mine passed away last year and on our estate we own 4 out of the 9 properties. It went up for sale last week and we offered the asking price. The estate agent called today and said really sorry but tho you made the best offer the family have said there dad said not to sell too you and I feel really awkward telling you.

The guy who owned I'm shocked as we got on really well but the old guy next door to him we fell out big time a couple years ago and I have a feeling the poison dwarf has said something. Any tips to try and get my bid accepted?

A definition of an open market sale is where a willing buyer and willing seller get together to do the deal. If one side isn't willing it's unlikely the transaction will go through. As your investment strategy appears to be based on the game of Monopoly you probably already understand this. Expecting surviving family to go against their dad's wishes seems unlikely without some dubious tactics being employed.

Time to let it go?

You're right. Just really wanted his front and rear garden. Plan was to add his front to ours and use half his for storage for my wife's and just rent the house out.

Found out why they won't sell to us. The poison dwarf did convince them all not to sell too us. He doesn't like it we own most of the parking in our little and that I given him a parking fine in the past. Oh well
