Safety issues?

Hi all.
This is my first post here. I've recently moved into a rental property which I'm paying £995 a month. My issues are just with potential safety issues. The waste water from the upstairs bathroom(sink and bath/Shower) is running down a down pipe next to my back door and then into a gully pot. I'm unsure if this is safe practice due to the gully pot being approx 400mm away from the down pipe. Lots of excess water seems to be not running into the pot and running down the patio. There's no drainage there so it's sitting there.
Problem 2 is similar. My washing machine waste leave the kitchen via a 34mm pipe  out into the exterior of the kitchen. The issue here is that the pipe stops approx 2.5 meters away from the gully pot. Again lots of water doesn't go into the drain and instead flows down the patio and just sits there.
Is this safe? Should I get them to sort it out?
Thanks

It's only sink/bath/shower/washing machine water. So, yes, it's "safe".

It's not an ideal or correct wastewater arrangement though.

Obviously can't see the actual layout but, from your description, it would seem simple enough to extend the waste pipe to the gully pot.

Standing water can be appealing to rats, so keep an eye out for signs of them. One of my relatives had a setup similar to the one you describe, which the landlord did not want to address, and their patio was very popular with rats. Of course, overflowing bins and rubbish (nesting sites) elsewhere in the neighbourhood didn't help either.

This does not pose a health risk as such, but it could be a bit of a nuisance with algae or ice in the winter. It would not hurt to mention it to the landlord, but if they don't respond a bit of DIY with some cheap parts from Wilco etc. would do the trick.
